Bolt type screen changer (BSC) consists of 2 ways channel and 2-bolts of each 1 filter, and bolts are operated by hydraulic piston. This means that one bolt is changed filter and another bolt is continued filtering operation.This operation can be executed without stopping the extruder system.

　

DMAG suggests the new installation of the screen changer to be installed on the down-stream of gear pump.

This enables the extrusion system to lower the discharge pressure to 30-50 bar, and results in a 30% energy-saving. And lowering discharge pressure leads to lowering polymer temperature which is conducive to the increase in productive capacity of the extruder.

Since the extruder line is able to continue the production at the time of changing filters for BSC, the line maintains high productivity.
